Balance Bikes

Who for?

Our Balance Bike course (4 x 45min sessions) is designed specifically for children aged 3-4 years old who want to take their first step towards learning how to ride a bike.

Course description

The course introduces children to a balance bike and develops their basic movement patterns, dynamic balance and gross motor skills through a range of fun activities and games.

The aim of the course is to build the childs confidence to glide on a balance bike with their feet off the floor.

The course teaches riders how to:

  • Mount & dismount the bike
  • Manoeuvre the bike
  • Control the bike
  • Stop the bike

All sessions are held indoors.

If you child has their own balance bike and/or helmet which they would like to use then feel free to bring them along. Children should be able to sit on the seat of their bike and put both feet flat on the ground.

Balance bikes and helmets can be borrowed if you don’t have your own. Please indicate when booking if you need to borrow any equipment.

£40 per child (plus a small booking fee)
