Description
We want to help more young riders have the opportunity to take part in competitive cycling races. So we have set up Muddy Monsters Race Series (Norwich), a series of fun off-road races held in public parks in Norwich. The series is designed specifically for beginners/novice riders who want to take part in local grassroots races.
At each round of the series, riders take part in 3 races:
- Sprint race
- Endurance race
- Skills race
Riders will score points from each race which are combined to give an overall result for the round. These results will be added up to give an overall series result.
Who for?
The series is open to boys and girls aged 5-15 years old who are new to racing or have only taken part in a few races.
The series is not suitable for young people already regularly racing at regional/national standard.
Equipment
Riders can use any type of bike to take part in the races (must have two brakes and be in good working order). Riders must wear a helmet at all times.
Cost
Entry to each race is £5 per rider (plus a small booking fee)
