Muddy Monsters Cycle Races

Muddy Monsters is back for 2025!! We want to help even more young riders have the opportunity to take part in cycle racing. Muddy Monsters is a series of fun off-road races held in public parks in Norwich at weekends. The series is designed specifically for beginners/novice riders who want to take part in local grassroots races.

Four 2025, there will be 4 races in the series. At each round of the series, U8-14 riders take part in 3 races:

• Sprint race (1 lap of main course)
• Endurance race (multiple laps of main course)
• Skills race (1 lap of skills course)

Riders will score points from each race which are combined to give an overall result for the round.

There will also be a Balance Bike category at each round where young riders under the age of 4 will have the opportunity to take part in a sprint race and a skills race.

The series is open to boys and girls aged 2-14 years old who are new to racing or have only taken part in a few races. The series is not suitable for young people already regularly racing at regional/national standard.

Riders can use any type of bike to take part in the races (must have two brakes and be in good working order). Balance bikes do not need to have brakes although they are recommended. All riders must wear a helmet at all times.

Entry to each round of the series is £6 per rider (U8, U10, U12, U14) or £3 per rider (Balance Bike) plus a small booking fee.
